In the backdrop of all the talks about rehabilitating Kashmiri Pandits back in the valley of Kashmir by the Modi Government, first reaction from the separatist leaders is here and it is as expected not that warm.
Denying any possibility of the so called 'Panun Kashmir ' Concept laid down by the Kashmiri pandit leaders and the thought of settling Kashmiri Pandits in distinct locations in North and south kashmir, Geelani said that separatists will oppose this decision.
Though, sugar coating his words, Geelani said that Kashmiri pandits are a part of Kashmir, and they will be welcome to come back but not on these terms.
In an interview to a Media House, Geelani said,
“Pandits are a part of the Kashmir society and they will always be welcome in their motherland. But, let it be clear that any plan to settle them exclusively in protected colonies would be completely unacceptable to the separatist leadership and the people here,”
This is the first time someone has publicly revolted against the settlements and rehabilitation plan which is under construction on the Modi Government and is thought to be delivered soon.
Let's see what happens to the fate of this community which after 25 years have again thought of returning to their homes.
